The Unit is responsible for the management of financial resources in order to ensure prudent utilisation of resources and accountability.
The Unit performs the following specific functions:
a) Prepare financial reports in order to comply with regulations and facilitate decision making;
b) Prepare and maintain an asset register in order to ensure accountability;
c) Prepare financial statements in order to facilitate external audits;
d) Process payroll and statutory returns in order to facilitate the payment of salaries and statutory obligations; and
e) Stores management.
The Unit is headed by a Divisional Finance Officer (Superintendent) who is assisted by one (1) Finance Officer (Assistant Superintendent).
