The District is responsible for coordinating police activities under its jurisdiction. It also supervises officers in charge for police stations within the district.
The district is divided into two (2) as follows:
i. Grade A District; and
ii. Grade B District.
A. GRADE A POLICE DISTRICT
Grade A Police District is headed by an Officer Commanding (Assistant Commissioner of Police) who is assisted by one (1) Deputy Officer Commanding (Senior Superintendent), one (1) District Criminal Investigations Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Crime Intelligence Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Traffic Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Community Services Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Operations Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Senior Legal Officer (Superintendent), one (1) District Armourer (Assistant Superintendent), one (1) Officer In Charge, Grade A Police Station (Superintendent), one (1) Officer In Charge, Grade B Police Station (Assistant Superintendent) and one (1) Officer In Charge Grade C Police Station (Chief Inspector).
B. GRADE B POLICE DISTRICT
Grade B Police District is headed by an Officer Commanding (Senior Superintendent) who is assisted by one (1) Deputy Officer Commanding (Superintendent), one (1) District Criminal Investigations Officer (Assistant Superintendent), one (1) District Crime Intelligence Officer (Assistant Superintendent), one (1) District Operations Officer (Assistant Superintendent), one (1) District Legal Officer (Chief Inspector), one (1) District Community Services Officer (Assistant Superintendent), one (1) District Armourer (Chief Inspector), one (1) Officer In Charge, Grade A Police Station (Superintendent), one (1) Officer In Charge, Grade B Police Station (Assistant Superintendent) and one (1) Officer In Charge Grade C Police Station (Chief Inspector).
