The Section is responsible for enforcing road traffic laws and regulations in the Division.
The Section performs the following specific functions:
a) Enforce road traffic laws and regulations;
b) Undertake traffic administration and planning;
c) Manage the flow of traffic;
d) Provide escort services;
e) Collaborate with stake holders on road safety and related matters;
f) Compile and analyse road traffic data and prepare reports;
g) Investigate road traffic accidents;
h) Provide technical advice to stakeholders on matters related to traffic accidents; and
i) Maintain road traffic records.
The Section is headed by a Divisional Traffic Officer (Assistant Commissioner of Police) who is assisted by one Deputy Divisional Traffic Officer (Senior Superintendent).
